DJ Show: Show Gozz on

W.S. Chonco who also goes by the name DJ Show, started out as a DJ in 2004 in Pietermaritzburg KZN and whilst DJing, throwing parties and producing credible dance music, he instantly became a favorite with top DJ’s such as Durban’s Finest, Oskido, Christos and loads more. With tons of interest for his tracks he formed a group called Mgungu Rockaz and went onto release national hits on well known compilations such as Mixwell Impressive which sold over 25 000 units, Quantised 3 by QT, Manyora House Collection Vol 1 & 2. as well as a debut album with Mgungu Rockaz called “Evolution” with Sheer House. DJ Show has since gone separate ways with Mgungu Rockaz, but fire burns strongly in this young man and has built and created a studio where he produces infectious music. Not content with only being a DJ/music producer he is also a businessman and promoter and events Co-coordinator,

DJ Show comes from a small town called Hammersdale in Kwa-Zulu Natal, where he was born and grew up, Now Residing in Pietermaritzburg and this is where he gathers his inspiration for world class hits, as well as his residency at Exclusive Lounge in Pietermaritzburg, one of the biggest clubs in SA.

Pietermaritzburg is not only a capital city, but now it has taken a step forward in music industry, since Jozi has been the center of attention with Urban music for many years, Durban took the crown for the past few years with “That Durban sound” but now its about time for PMB’s sound to shine, DJ Show became a well known artist in KZN after his stint with Mgungu Rockaz and for the past two years has produced a few hits such as the single called “uyoy’ sholo wena” which never came out in stores but it was playing all over even Oskido was impressed before durban finest released the same song in 2007, but now I moved on with another hit song that has taken the whole of SA, titled “Nayoke Lengoma”, came out on Mgungu Rockaz Evolution CD.

In the meantime DJ Show has been profiling his music and DJ talents all over SA and internationally including the 2007 SA Music conference in Durban and Pietermaritzburg and playing along side Frank Roger, Quinten Harris, Osunlade, Spinna, Ralf GUM, He has also become a house hold name in the Eastern Cape as well as KZN.
